Donation Attendant - PT - New Donation Center Opening Soon. Hiring and training immediately.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Retail and Donated Goods Director
STATUS:

FUNCTION:
Operates independently and accept donations at attended donation center (ADC) while providing exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Welcomes donors, assists and accepts donations, issues donation receipts and marketing materials, and completes donor log.
- Is able to work independently with little supervision.
- Assesses quality of merchandise and pre-sorts items for processing.
- Assists donors with unloading donations from vehicle.
- Answers donor questions and provides exemplary customer service.
- Performs general housekeeping duties, ensuring work areas (inside and outside) are neat and clean. *Brings in donations left outside during non-operating hours.
- Communicates needs of donation center (supplies, pickup, delivery, etc.) with Goodwill’s transportation department.
- Assists Goodwill truck drivers with the loading and unloading of donations.
- Promotes Goodwill’s Mission and values to ALL donors.
- Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent lifting and carrying of objects is required.
- Must be able to stoop, squat, bend, pull, or twist as part of routine daily work
- Must be cooperative, friendly, and well-groomed at all times.
- Hours may fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.). Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled and may be required to work overtime hours as directed by supervisor or VP.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and VP of Donated Goods and Marketing.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Position Supervised: None
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience: Some experience in customer service preferred.
Certification: None
Other Requirements: Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
