Job Title: Accounting Compliance Coordinator
Job Summary:
SoDella Construction is a Scottsdale, AZ based general contractor specializing in for-rent single family home builds. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Compliance Coordinator with good job stability and experience in the construction industry to assist with Accounting, Insurance, Payroll and Vendor Management. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity, and this position works 100% on-site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Supports every function of accounting department
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Analyze budgets and create expense reports
- Post weekly / monthly transactions
- Weekly / monthly account reconciliation
- Monthly credit card reconciliation
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Monitor policies and procedures for assigned departments, and identify and suggest improvements for accounting reporting and recording procedures
Payroll Assist Responsibilities:
- Assist with new hire onboarding paperwork
- Assist with timely entering of weekly timesheets
- Ad hoc projects as requested
Insurance & Vendor Management Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering new vendor enrollment
- Create vendor master data in accounting system
- Maintain vendor files, audit for compliance on a scheduled basis
- Research vendor licensing as required
- Manage vendor certificate of insurance files
- Manage vendor enrollment in project OCIP programs
- Assist in annual audit of insurance policies
- Assist with quarterly reporting and external financial audits
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years work experience; Home building or General Contracting experience is strongly recommended
- Candidate must have ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Previous experience with a major ERP system is required. Experience with Sage Intacct a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Must have a basic understanding of insurance certificates
- Desire to continue to grow through continuing training
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Reports to Manager of Human Resources and Compliance
