Responsibilities to Include:
- Logging all customer cars on the dispatch sheet and making sure that all cars are dispatched to the first available qualified technician that can complete the job in a timely manner based on the customers needs and the required skill level of the appropriate technician.
- Follow all cars through the repair process to make sure that the cars are being worked on to meet the customers needs and repaired right the first time, while meeting our promised times.
- If the repair cannot be fixed right the first time and/or the promised time cannot be met, then the dispatcher needs to make sure that the proper communication is made to the advisor so the advisor can communicate to the customer.
- All up-sell items should be made directly from the technician to the advisor. The advisor should then call the tech back with the up-sell items and the tech should then inform the dispatcher of the time required to repair the car.
- Track all jobs with regard to how long and who is working on the cars.
- Call the service manager at least twice a day with an update of how the shop is being loaded and if more work is required to keep all the technicians busy. Call should be at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- Immediately report to the service manager any and all accidents with regard to employees and/or cars.
- Notify the service manager immediately of any employee problems, such as but not limited to, refusal to work on cars, absenteeism, anger and harassment of any kind.
- Get the shop foreman involved in any repair attempt that is taking longer than 1 hour to diagnose or repair.
- Notify the service manager immediately if there is an oil spill or any other accident in the shop.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Regular attendance is essential.
- Work in cooperative, positive & professional manner with all personnel in the company.
- Treat members of the public and customers in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner. Maintain professional demeanor while at work.
- Must conform to company policy regarding non-discrimination and harassment.
Equipment/Machines/Tools Typically Used: Phone, computer, adding machine, copier, calculator, stapler, fax machine, postage machine, pencils/pens, letter opener, scissors, and rulers.
Physical Demands: Frequent twisting and/or turning of trunk, reaching and handling of objects, intermittent standing, walking and sitting, infrequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting of 10 lbs or less.

Pay: $21.93 - $26.41 per hour
