Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document patient's vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, conditions, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and procedures
- Provide pain management interventions as needed
- Perform catheter care for patients as required
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices
- Strong knowledge of acute care nursing principles and practices
- Skilled in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Ability to assess and manage pain in patients effectively
- Knowledge of infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Experience in providing catheter care for patients
- Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation procedures and interpreting results accurately
