As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient operation and maintenance of our company's fleet of vehicles. Your primary objective is to ensure that all vehicles are well-maintained, comply with safety standards, and are utilized optimally to support the organization's operational needs. You will work with our Branch based managers and mechanic, ensuring smooth day-to-day fleet operations while implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fleet Operations Management:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize fleet operations, including vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and replacement plans.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver productivity to make data-driven decisions.
- Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance to ensure vehicles are in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Oversee fuel management programs to control expenses and promote efficient fuel consumption.
2. Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, ensuring that all drivers are trained in safe driving practices and follow safety protocols.
- Ensure that all vehicles meet legal and regulatory requirements, including licensing, insurance, and registration.
3. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage the fleet budget, forecasting expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Implement cost-effective practices to reduce maintenance and repair expenses without compromising safety and quality.
4. Fleet Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including vehicle logs, maintenance records, and accident reports.
- Prepare regular reports for management, detailing fleet performance, expenses, and any relevant metrics.
5. Fleet Upgrades and Acquisition:
- Evaluate the need for new vehicles and make recommendations for fleet expansion or replacement.
- Source and negotiate with vendors to acquire new vehicles, ensuring that the fleet stays up-to-date and aligned with the organization's needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a related role with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of fleet management practices, safety regulations, and vehicle maintenance best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to make informed decisions and implement process improvements.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
