We are a Traumatic Brain Injury Center with offices in Elmhurst, Brooklyn Heights and Manhattan. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated, collaborative, charismatic and driven Certified Medical Assistant to join our Queens (Elmhurst) Center. The position is full time , and reports directly Floor Supervisor. Expertise in Spanish and English is required, you must be able to speak, read and write both languages with minimal difficulty.
The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in the examination and treatment of patients, performing various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure quality patient care.

Responsibilities
- Perform medication administration under the direction of a healthcare provider
- Code and document patient information accurately
- Take vital signs and record patient medical history
- Provide exceptional patient service and support during visits
- Offer medical administrative support including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
-Performing a series of paper and pencil tests, record keeping, scanning and e-filing of documents.
Translate from Spanish to English for patients
-Assisting patients fill out forms
- Deliver compassionate patient care in line with best practices
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication
Experience:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant required
- Proficiency in medication administration, vital signs, and patient care
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
- Experience in medical administrative support is a plus
- Ability to learn or perform specialized testing
