Responsibilities:
- Do the system requirement engineering.
- Do the instrumentation & control component’s selection and integration.
- Do the design calculations for control devices and instruments.
- Ensure the functional safety of Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems.
- Prepare the DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report).
- Do the HAZOP & LOPA.
- Perform the DFMA for Safety Instrumented Systems, & Safety Related Systems.
- Interact with shop floor technicians/ manufacturing team to support the production build.
- Interact with clients and solve the technical design issues.
- Write the Test Request for product validation.
- Work with technicians/vendors to complete the product validation.
Requirements:
- Instrumentation & control components calculation, selection & integration.
- Experience with SIS & SRS.
- Experience with HAZOP & LOPA.
- Self-starter, positive, with a strong ability to work cross functionally in a matrix organization with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of applicable NA I&C/Electrical, & Safety standards.
- NFPA79, NFPA 70, CSA, NEC, OSHA, etc.
- Knowledge in ATEX / IECEx zoning and protection methods (Ex i, Ex e, Ex n, Ex d, Ex m, Ex p, etc.) IEC 60079 series.
- Experience with electrical design international standards IEC and IEEE.
- Knowledge in PFD, P&ID, Electrical drawings.
- Good command of SPI, Conval.
- Experience with intrinsic safety calculations.
- Experience with heat tracing calculations.
- Experience with projects for Hazard Location specially in North America.
- Proactive person who takes ownership over the assigned duties.
- Ability to work in design, & selection environments, as well as manufacturing & commissioning.
- Must be able to deal with complex and sometimes contradicting requirements. Can handle ambiguity by decoupling major goals into
achievable work packages.
- Ability to travel as needed for 1-2 weeks at a time to US, ES, BE.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical
engineering.
- Licensed professional engineer.
