Job Summary
Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Aide (C.N.A) provides care to residents/patients as assessed and described in the Comprehensive Care Plan. The C.N.A either performs or assists the resident to perform all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). The C.N.A reports to the Licensed Nurse in charge of the Nursing unit during RN/LPN’s tour of duty.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
- Assist resident with ADL’s such as feeding, bathing, toileting needs, and transporting as required.
- Participates in the continuum of care and the education of residents by assisting with all modes of ambulation utilizing proper techniques as directed and performing Range of Motion as directed.
- Participates in the environment of care by reporting/removing overt safety hazards and reporting any resident incidents.
- Fostering positive amongst residents, other nursing personnel, families, and visitors.

Job Requirements:
- Currently registered as a C.N.A. in New York State
- 1year experience as a C.N.A. in a health care setting
- Previous geriatric experience preferred
- Requires every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) commitment with holiday rotation
- Shift is: Evening (7am - 3pm)
- Performs other related duties as required.
