Job Title: Audio Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Audio Engineer to join our team. As an Audio Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality audio content for various projects. You will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in audio technology to enhance sound quality and ensure seamless integration of audio elements into different media platforms.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Administration
· Technical: Maintains a full and complete understanding of the operation and maintenance of audio equipment in the global church. Regularly review systems and their operation in all classrooms and venues within the facility and takes corrective action when equipment or associated supplies are found to be inoperable. Inform Technical Arts Pastor of any repair or proposed emergency replacement.
· Creative Arts Team: Meet weekly with the Creative Arts Team for communication, coordination, community, and inspiration. Awareness of the needs of the overall team is always required.
· Accountability: Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Technical Arts Pastor for the purpose of accountability as well as assistance in accomplishing established goals.
· Staff Meetings: Attend Staff meetings for global, visionary, and organizational matters. Determine level of Technical Support required for staff meetings.
Global Technical Production
· Global Technical Teams: Raise up technical volunteers to support global worship events.
· Develop: Develop maintenance schedules, guidelines, and procedures for audio equipment in the church.
· Excellence: Work side-by-side with the Technical Arts Pastor to achieve excellence in all areas of Technical Support.
· Assessment of Technical Resources: Assess, troubleshoots, and upgrades all audio equipment in the global church.
Volunteer Development
· Assimilation, shepherding, and team building.
· Volunteer operator development and training.
· Build community and provide leadership to the technical team, provide ongoing training to ensure each member is developing to their full potential.
Interaction with Others
The Lead Audio Engineer will work closely with the Technical Arts Pastor as well as the other members of the Creative Arts Department staff. He/she will also work closely with volunteers in the Creative Arts area.
Desired Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics
This person must be a person with leadership and technical abilities. They should be detail oriented with a critical eye/ear for technical matters. They should be gifted in managing people and processes. Investment into the lives of volunteers is a must. This person must have a great understanding of the seeker mind-set and how the arts and technical support can be used to impact them.
Education and Experience Required
Graduate of an accredited technical school or college or verifiable progressive experience working or volunteering in live technical production. Experience in live audio mixing and/or studio recording and mixing. Experience working with ProTools and other DAWS.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
