Job Description:
We are seeking a Medical Office Manager who is pleasant, courteous, and professional in greeting individuals who walk into our facility, answer incoming phone calls, and assist with administrative tasks. Other duties will involve purchasing office supplies, taking proper inventory, Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes, and supervising our office staff to ensure maximum productivity. In doing so, this individual will help promote a warm, welcoming environment for fellow staff, our residents, their families, and other visitors.
Required Qualifications:
- Require a minimum of a high school diploma or a GED.
- Preferred: 1-2 years of medical front desk experience
- Preferred: Experience working on medical EMR system
- Preferred: experience with coordination of care for Medicaid patients, billing and collections processes
- Verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with customers, vendors and other employees
- Organization skills to keep accurate records and find important information quickly
- Time management skills to prioritize and complete a wide variety of tasks throughout the day
- Competent in standard Microsoft Office applications
- Patience and listening skills to respond appropriate and interact positively with upset customers
- Interpersonal skiIIs to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet people entering the building, answering any questions, providing directions and alerting staff when someone is there to meet or visit them
- Answer a multiple line phone system, manage calls by routing them to the proper extensions or taking messages and delivering them within our message system along with setting up conference calls as requested
- Responsible for day-to-day operations
- Ensuring new patient paperwork and financial agreements are completed upon admission
- Oversees the front desk staff and sets their schedules
- Coordination of Care Paperwork for Medicaid patients
- Month-end closing of the billing group information
- Purchasing office/medical supplies and equipment - maintain inventory
- Producing reports, composing correspondence
- Inputs data into computer for billing purposes
- Serve as the face of the company, offering friendly service to those entering the building or calling in on the phone and maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and free of clutter
- Performs other necessary functions/duties as assigned by the Administrator
- Handle filing and data entry as requested
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
