Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to students with special needs. Your expertise in curriculum development, special education, and instructional design will help create an inclusive and effective learning environment.
Duties:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to identify and address students' specific learning needs
- Create and adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students
- Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them set goals and monitor their progress
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' academic performance and identify areas for improvement
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and development
- Effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to intervention strategies
- Implement behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies when necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Proven experience in curriculum development and instructional design for students with special needs
- Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, and other special education requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, parents, and students
- Proficiency in using learning technology tools and software
