Kumon Math And Reading Center of Houston - West University is looking for a Center Manager to join our strong team. We are located at 4009 Bellaire Blvd, Houston - 77025. We are seeking a long-term employee who wants to learn all aspects of Kumon and help with center management activities.
This role supports the Center Director and Owner in a variety of instructional and center management tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the center, ensuring smooth operations, and providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Customer service minded individual - strong verbal communication skills, intermediate written communication skills
- Proficient in basic computer usage
- Must be very well-organized and able to multi-task
- Fluent in Spanish a plus!
- Loves working with children and able to provide a positive learning experience
- A self starter, motivated individual
- Associate degree or bachelor's is a plus!
General Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Instructor to develop and understand lesson plan and goals for each student in order to properly administer instruction individually.
- Address student/parent concerns or escalate in a timely manner.
- Parent communication and customer service. Manage Customer Service issues as they arise.
- Provide assistance and guidance to staff and students, as needed, adhering to Kumon Method standards and center procedures.
- Manage staff and complete daily/weekly/monthly tasks to to ensure class and center operations run smoothly.
- Ensure the center is prepared - all student folders should be pulled and prepped for class.
- Update and maintain student lesson plans in Kumon's Center Management System
- Manage graders, make sure folders are graded and the work recorded in the record books.
- Work with data entry staff to ensure all folders are data entered before monthly reporting is due.
- Provide Instructor with written or verbal feedback, as needed, based on student observations and/or student performance on worksheets
- Assist with and/or manage monthly marketing initiatives and retention events (student awards events, promotions, holiday events).
- Assisting with the student enrollment process.
- Keep physical space organized and maintained as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Teaching experience will be a plus! We will train you for the job.
Pay will range from $13 to $15. The role can be 30-35 hours per week based on employee availability.
- Monday to Thursday - 11 AM to 7 PM. Some Fridays as needed!
