Job Summary:
DHP is currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic on-site Training and Development Specialist to join our winning team. As our Training and Development Specialist, you will partner with our leadership team and help to deliver amazing onboarding experiences for new team members and help to cultivate growth and learning for all DHP team members.
Duties:
- Collaborate with all levels of leadership to determine training needs and schedules
- Support cross-departmental initiatives and partnerships to reduce system and training gaps and provide appropriate solutions to remove gaps and limitations
- Develop programs and curriculum for new employee orientation and continued development training
- Oversee new hire onboarding and training. Develop appropriate follow up protocol during first year of employment to ensure proper onboarding experience.
- Analyze the effectiveness of training and develop appropriate modifications as needed
- Develop systems to monitor and ensure employees perform their responsibilities according to the training
- Prepare hard copy training materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations
- Review and research market trends and practices to make recommendations and incorporate findings into training and development materials; ensure training is in compliance with all necessary regulations
- Provide leadership training to promote professional and personal growth
- Examine behavioral assessments to determine an individual's patterns of behavior, thoughts, emotions, and motivations; assess strengths and weaknesses
- Create and update development programs and career paths; provide career development support
- Support the company culture through development of training centered around DHP’s values
- Ability to learn DHP sales principles and teach to new and existing sales team members
- Develop and manage training budget
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar training and development role required
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Strong decision-making skills to determine course content and materials needed to meet organizational and employee needs
- Proficient in MS Office; prior LMS experience preferred
- Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
- Solid knowledge of the current corporate training techniques and effective teaching methodologies, ability to stay up to date on new techniques and technologies
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
