Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. This includes conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating visual impairments and ocular diseases, prescribing corrective lenses, and educating patients on proper eye care practices. Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and peripheral vision - Diagnose and treat visual impairments, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia - Identify and manage ocular diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy - Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct refractive errors - Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries - Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care - Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry through continuing education and professional development Qualifications: - Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school - Valid state license to practice optometry - Strong knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures - Experience in senior care, ophthalmology, pediatrics, or sales is a plus - Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages - Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the eye - Familiarity with aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment during procedures - Ability to perform basic vital signs measurements We offer competitive compensation packages and benefits for our Optometrists.
