Job Summary: As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and ensure they have a positive experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, ensuring that all guest needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, check them in and out of the hotel, and provide information about the hotel's facilities and services.
- Reservations: Manage room reservations using the hotel's reservation system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Breakfast Service: Manage the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of the breakfast buffet.
- Ensure food items are attractively presented and replenished as needed.
- Welcome guests to the breakfast area and assist with any questions.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the buffet area.
- Ensure all food items comply with health and safety standards.
- Customer Assistance: Handle guest inquiries and complaints, providing prompt and courteous solutions. Assist guests with requests such as booking transportation, making restaurant reservations, and providing information about local attractions.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform daily front desk operations including but not limited to, managing phone calls, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records of guest accounts.
- Communication: Coordinate and assist with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest requests and ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Security: Monitor the security of the hotel by keeping an eye on guest activity and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Sales: Promote hotel services and amenities to guests to enhance their stay and maximize hotel revenue.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Experience with hotel reservation systems is an advantage.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using computer systems and reservation software
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Fluency in English

Working Conditions:
- Primarily works in a hotel front desk area with frequent interaction with guests.

Compensation:
- $15 per hour
- Due to the part time and seasonal nature of this position, it does not include benefits.
