The Bookkeeper of NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties shall have the listed Requirements, Qualities, and ability to perform the following Duties:
Finance Manager
The Bookkeeper of NAMI Wayne and Holmes Counties works with the Executive Director and Administrative Team to oversee daily, monthly, and annual accounting needs to assure fiscal health of the organization. The person will work additionally with the organization's budget, grant summaries, and annual audit.
Responsibilities:
- Experience in all accounting and general ledger functions
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and audit requirements
- Proficient in use of QuickBooks or other accounting software
- Practical working experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Budget processes
- Understanding and ability to perform Payroll functions and human resources
- Skillful in Microsoft Suite 360 with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Creating reports and manipulating data from QuickBooks, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills including grammar, efficient & accurate with numbers and entry of data
- Other related duties as assigned
Profile of successful candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably in the Wayne-Holmes Counties market.
- Trustworthiness and ability to demonstrate personal responsibility
- An understanding of and commitment to confidentiality of privileged information
- Superior organizational skills and accuracy
- Excellent problem solving and people skills
- Self-motivated, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills; Possess a positive attitude
- Ability to contribute as a team member with other staff; Collaborating skills and the ability to work within a diverse community
- Able to understand mental health problems or willing to learn about them
- Able to understand not-for-profit challenges
- Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.
