Purpose and Scope:
Inspects production first article, in-process and finished product inspections at each step of production. Coordinates with shipping for job labels and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Inspects Flexo Plates and 1st article samples prior to production.
Calculates Sampling Plans for each job. Reads and interprets customer specification sheets and customer provided material.
Inspects first article, in-process, and final release of product to ensure conformance to customer specifications are met.
Makes appointments with freight lines for product pick up and coordinates shipments with delivery personnel and customers receiving department.
Ensures each carton of finished product is properly packed and labeled.
Ensures all proper forms are completed for each individual job and maintains all forms in clients Batch Record.
Performs Rub test and Barcode Scans when applicable. Produces computer generated labels needed for each job. Understands ISO and GMP standards pertaining to the position.
Employees may be required to perform other duties in addition to those listed above.

Employees are limited to designated areas and restricted time periods.

Reports to the Director of Quality.

Job Requirements:
Education:
One-year certificate from college or technical school, two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. General overall knowledge of printing industry.
Fluent verbal and written command of the English language, excellent phone skills with a courteous, professional demeanor.
Ability to measure using standard measuring devices. (i.e. Ruler) Good basic math skills.
Machinery/Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills and knowledge of: Microsoft Word, and CERM.
Physical Demands:
Moderate to heavy typing and manual handwriting. Be able to multi-task and handle stressful situations. Occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
Walks throughout the Facility checking on job status.
Work Environment:
The workplace is an office environment. Employees may be required to enter production areas which contain loud machinery.
While performing job duties, employees may be exposed to vapors or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. There are no highly toxic chemicals in the facility.
Exposure to chemicals is below the PEL (permissible exposure limit).
