Are you a skilled Capital Procurement Manager ready to make an impact? Join our client and play a crucial role in their Capital Projects team, ensuring the best value outcomes while managing risk. This position, reporting to the Corporate Procurement Director, offers the opportunity to support the development and execution of capital projects by sourcing materials, equipment, and services.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the primary liaison between Procurement and the Projects team (Project Managers & Engineers), as well as the commercial interface with suppliers and contractors to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Work with the Projects team to create and implement procurement strategies, plans, and schedules.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to aggregate volumes for better commercial terms based on our multi-year Capital Plan.
- Lead the RFQ/RFP process from start to finish, including technical bid analysis and evaluation with the Project team, and develop award recommendations.
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to secure optimal commercial and contract terms.
- Draft and execute agreements, including Purchase Orders, with comprehensive commercial and technical documentation.
- Manage requisitions and Purchase Orders in line with payment schedules and overall project timelines.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure timely packaging, transport, and delivery of purchased goods to the appropriate Plant.
- Track the status of equipment and materials from delivery through warehousing and storage.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, resolving any issues or risks related to cost or schedule promptly.
- Communicate the execution of the Project Procurement Plan, including any issues or risks, to the Project team.
- Conduct on-site assessments to qualify prospective suppliers and perform periodic quality audits at qualified suppliers’ facilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years related to capital projects.
- Proficiency in ERP Procurement modules (JDE preferred).
- Experience with equipment, supplies, and services in a chemical plant, refinery, or similar industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end strategic sourcing process.
- Solid grasp of project management methodologies

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
