Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the inventory of parts, supplies, and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, reorder points, and usage patterns.
- Efficiently distribute parts to different departments based on their needs.
- Work with dispatch to have items delivered to job sites, departments, and to on-site personnel.
- Inspect incoming parts for quality and accuracy.
- Verify that parts match specifications and meet required standards.
- Report any discrepancies or defects promptly.
- Keep the parts room organized, clean, and accessible.
- Implement effective shelving systems and labeling for easy retrieval.
- Regularly conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Work closely with various departments, including production, maintenance, and repair teams.
- Communicate effectively to understand their needs and provide timely support.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues and external vendors.
- Troubleshoot issues related to missing or incorrect parts.
- Propose solutions to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Adapt to changing demands and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
- Suggest improvements to inventory management systems and procedures.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory management, parts handling, or related roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using inventory software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
