POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for assisting in directing, coordinating, and maintaining the Company’s accounting function at operating subsidiary (“the Company”) and main operating parent (the “OEM”). Ensures the accurate recording and reporting of the organization's financial position and operational results. Monitors related policies and procedures and recommends improvements. Oversees all accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, prepaids, debt, treasury, and all reporting functions at the Company; assists with the same at the OEM. Responsible for establishing, monitoring, maintaining, and reporting financial budgets for the Company. Conducts analyses and derives solutions to accounting problems through the application of information systems. Develops and implements cost analyses to support management in the pricing of products and services. Identifies the cost and earning contributions of all services, functions, and departments. Assists with tax (income and sales) preparations and submissions. Coordinates annual financial statement audit with external auditors/Controller/CFO. Assists the Controller/CFO in ensuring that accounting functions are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and Company procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for the Company’s effective and accurate completion of accounting recording and reporting functions.
a. Oversees preparation of periodic financial statements, records, and reports, including payables, receivables, billings, bank reconciliations, and other working-capital needs.
b. Ensures that records, statements, and reports are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and government regulations.
c. Ensures that external document submissions and filings (including tax returns) are accurate and timely.
d. Performs and oversees special studies for management, including ratio and trend analyses, and other comparative examinations.
e. Oversees the design and development of new accounting information systems. Reviews current systems and implements improvements in operational and security procedures.
f. Ensures that records retention functions conform to legal regulations.
2. Assists with and improves FP&A Function
a. Serves as a key player in FP&A function, including financial analysis, forecasting, and product line profitability analyses.
b. Responsible for preparation of monthly and quarterly BOD materials, as assigned by CFO.
3. Assumes full responsibility for billing functions
a. Serves as the key resource for the Company’s billing functions
4. Assumes responsibility for invoicing at OEM Entity.
a. Responsible for daily invoicing of client base, utilizing OEM Entity’s ERP.
5. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with vendors, outside auditors, and with professional trade groups.
a. Serves as a liaison between the Company and external auditors.
b. Represents the Company with various trade professionals and groups.
c. Ensures that the Company’s professional reputation is maintained.
6. Assists with Treasury Function
a. Serves as a key player in treasury function, including working capital management, funds disbursements and receipts, and forecasting.
b. Serves as Controller back-up for cash transacting and debt service.
7. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
a. Stays informed of trends and changes in the budgeting area, cost accounting area, and accounting field.
b. Ensures that the department work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
c. Replaces the Controller as needed.
d. Ensures that appropriate levels of confidentiality and security are maintained.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
1. Financial and budget statements, records, and reports are accurate and timely. Management is provided with useful and informative reports and data. The Company’s financial position is accurately conveyed.
2. Costing and pricing analyses are accurate and complete and effectively support decision making.
3. External reports, records, and tax documents are accurate and filed timely.
4. Budgeting, operational policies and procedures, and accounting systems information is regularly reviewed and modified as needed.
5. Accounting functions are completed in accordance with established policies, standards, and legal requirements.
6. Positive business relations exist with auditors, government officials, and trade professionals.
7. Good communication and effective working relations exist with other departments. Assistance is provided as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
Required Knowledge: Basic knowledge of advanced financial accounting practices and procedures.
Knowledge of invoicing and billing procedures
Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and reporting requirements.
Familiarity with related auditing and data processing functions.
Understanding of automated accounting applications.
Knowledge of Company operations and information flow.
Understanding of financing transactions.
Experience Required: Office setting job experience preferred
Skills/Abilities: Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent analytical abilities.
Ability to manage and coordinate projects with multiple individuals and departments.
Well organized.
Able to use PC and peripheral equipment, adding machine, telephone, and printers.

Pay: $50,493.75 - $60,809.68 per year
