Position Summary:
Under the direction and guidance of the Program Director, the Instructor is responsible for the training requirements of the Climate Works Pre-apprenticeship Program. The instructor will oversee the delivery of all required classroom, hands- on, and worksite training throughout each region and facilitate training as required.
- Coordinates with TradesFutures and monitors the facilitation of the NABTU Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) and the National Center for Construction Education & Research curricula (NCCER).
- Coordinates the delivery of the Worker’s Right Curriculum.
- Ensure CPR, First Aid and OSHA training(s)are delivered, and certifications are received by all candidates enrolled in the pre-apprenticeship training programs.
- Monitors the coordination of job sites and apprenticeship tours.
- Coordinates with regional instructors to support test preparation and career exploration.
- Creates and submits curriculum evaluations for the purpose of improving program services.
- Provide feedback to partner organizations that will enhance their training.
- Facilitates and/or assist in the delivery of various workshop such as but not limited to financial literacy; mock interviews; civility in the workplace; workplace bullying; stress management; managing workplace anxiety; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and entrepreneurship/business development.
- Coordinates with regional transition service staff to ensure the timely and successful transition of training graduates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
