POSITION: Airfield Construction Manager
Tigerbrain is seeking an experienced Airfield Construction Manager to oversee quality control team for international airfield construction and testing. Candidate may be a degreed engineer, engineering technician, or construction superintendent/inspector. The location of the position could be in Micronesia, Middle East, Ukraine or South East Asia. Projects will require you to be onsite for multiple years, with a limited trip back to US annually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Requires demonstrated skills in calculating mixture proportions and volumetrics
· Batch plant operation
· Asphalt and /or concrete paving
· Quality control sampling following ASTMs standards
· Manage a team consisting of junior inspectors
· Plans and coordinates all field inspection activities
· Observes work in progress to ensure conformance with specifications
· Examines workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards
· Maintains daily report of construction inspection activities
· Prepares sketches of construction installations that deviate from plans and incorporates changes into master plans
· Provides direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required
· Performs quality assurance, control process, and procedural activities
· Ability to work outdoors for a 10-hour day, 5 to 6 days a week
· Fully qualified representative capable of performing with little supervision
· DoD or FAA airfield project experience preferred
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 10 years of experience in concrete/pavement construction inspection.
· Applicant must be a US citizen and capable of passing US security background checks
· US military contract requirements do not allow dual-citizenship or non-US citizens
· Applicant must pass drug screen and driving record check
· Applicant must be willing to acquire all required vaccinations necessary for travel
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Competitive pay commensurate with experience, starting at $100,000
