This job requires military service with a contract as a commissioned officer in the Air Force Reserve. The application is for a specific position within the Air Force Reserve.
Position Summary
From wide-scale surveillance to deploying weapons, much of what we do happens in the air and utilizes remotely piloted aircraft. Working alongside the pilot, a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Sensor Operator ensures the machinery works efficiently and our forces get what they need when they need it. Using the most-advanced equipment in the field, they conduct reconnaissance, surveillance, close-air support and real-time battle assessment so that our Airmen stay safe and our objectives are met.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate new equipment and the propriety of new procedures.
- Identify, analyze and distinguish between valid and invalid targets.
- Plan pre- and in-flight mission activities.
- Conduct intelligence reconnaissance and surveillance.

Qualifications
This is an active-duty position as an Air Force Reserve officer. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma, GED with 15 college credits or GED
- General; Electronics ASVAB requirements
- Flight experience is beneficial and desired but not required.
- Normal color vision
- Completion of a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
