Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Designer/User Experience Specialist to join our innovative software development team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in UI/UX design, proficiency in HTML and CSS. This role involves designing and developing user-centered software solutions that are both visually appealing and highly functional, ensuring an exceptional user experience and optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Experience (UX) Design:
- Conduct user research, including usability testing, user interviews, and surveys, to gather insights on user needs and behaviors.
- Develop user personas, journey maps, and scenarios to guide design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that illustrate interface functionality and design concepts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define user experience goals and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- User Interface (UI) Design:
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Develop and maintain a consistent design language and style guide across all applications.
- Ensure the UI design enhances the user experience and meets accessibility standards.
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs.
- Carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needs and requirements
- Ensure the creation and implementation of customized experiences for the digital user
- Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps
- Maintain a competitive edge against competitor products and industry trends
- Perform tests on user interface elements such as CTAs, layouts, target links, landing pages and banners
- Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Designer or User Experience Specialist.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX design and development.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- HTML and CSS
- Experience with design software (e.g., Photoshop)
- Understanding of UX/UI (user experience/user interface) design
- Knowledge of SEO (search engine optimization)
- WordPress development experience
- Good visual design sense
- Experience in responding well to clients’ design requests
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in UI/UX design or relevant development technologies.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
