Description
DRCG is proud to be a member of the team supporting Bluestone, an enterprise-level initiative to modernize DEA's IT systems and networks, enhancing security, usability, and accessibility to support mission requirements effectively and efficiently. Bluestone delivers an enterprise-level capability consisting of an integrated organization, innovation, business analysis, development, operations, engineering services, solution architecting, software/ hardware release management & maintenance services, new cloud-based solutions, and next generation network options.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Training and Development Specialist will plan, develop, and implement technical product or system training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel.
Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. The Senior Training and Development Specialist will work closely with the customer to obtain information from technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements.
The Senior Training and Development Specialist will deliver training programs; prepare lesson plans and training materials; design product demonstrations; develop course content; determine methodology; and coordinate the development of training aids.
The Senior Training and Development Specialist will conduct training sessions, demonstrations, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. This role requires prior technical subject matter knowledge and experience.
The ideal Senior Training and Development Specialist candidate will:

Work closely with management, employees, and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring technical training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.

Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.

Possess technical skills and learn quickly.

Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Facilitate the execution of all training programs.

Set up mobile training classrooms and dismantle after field training sessions.

Monitor training costs to ensure budget and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures.

Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years (or commensurate technical training experience).

ISD knowledge and experience towards the development of in-classroom instructional materials and other methods including, but not limited to training plans, storyboards, narrative scripts, graphics, etc.

Experienced with developing and designing of computer-based training.

Experienced with developing and conducting web-based training sessions.

Possess a strong working knowledge of Adobe Captivate and the understanding Adobe Creative (CS) suite.

Familiar with the best practices for designing training, utilizing the ADDIE model.

Clearance Required: able to maintain Secret Clearance and able to acquire and maintain DEA Suitability.
