Lighting Unlimited, Arizona’s premier lighting distributor, is seeking an experienced professional for an Project Coordinator position. The Project Coordinator is an important part of the Operations team and will work alongside our Purchasing, Inside/Outside Sales, Specifications & Design, Operations, and Accounting teams to manage and service projects from set-up to completion. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, able to juggle multiple competing tasks, a strong communicator and highly organized. The ideal candidate would have 2 plus years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Project Coordination.
You will be working with multiple deadlines on various projects in several markets and report to the Supply Chain Operations Manager and Sr. Buyer. The position is located in Phoenix, AZ at our brand new 16,000 sq. foot headquarters.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operate as a “hub” for the purchasing, design and specification, and inside/outside sales teams, as well as electrical contractors for construction project follow-up, post-sale service, and invoicing.
- Process sales orders, special order requisitions, drop-ships, breakouts, and quotes.
- Daily vendor engagement to update open order statuses and track procurement costs.
- Manage incoming returns and work with vendors to ensure credit or replacements are received.
- Assist with processing and resolving A/P invoice discrepancies.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, warranty, and freight claims.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate receiving, staging, and distribution of Project orders.
- Develop and document updated standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in an operations, manufacturing, or distribution environment in a similar or related industry.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and thorough.
- Independent, self-starter who can multi-task and requires minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – must be able to work together with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work in an office environment and read small print.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analytics.
- Experience using ERP systems for Warehouse Management and/or Purchasing processes.
- Lighting and/or Electrical industry knowledge.
