Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating efficient day-to-day operations of the dispatch center including but not limited to monitoring, assisting, directing, and coaching. Performs all dispatch functions such as administrative functions such as answering phones, emails, communicating with drivers and clients, entering orders, routing trucks, building schedules, and generating appointments for port activities, etc.
Responsibilities
- Oversee improvement in customer satisfaction and dispatch satisfaction;
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor;
- Ensure overall compliance with various office policies such as: uniforms, use of electronic devices, phone compliance, meal breaks and attendance;
- Manages and coordinates technical workforce job completion;
- Monitor specific charts and daily graphs to ensure that all service calls are being managed and completed in a timely manner;
- Accurately schedule pickups and deliveries;
- Monitor routes to manage on-time performance with our drivers.
- Primary lead on clearing items on the issues list in Metric Solutions. This involves speaking with outside vendors who have not confirmed the receipt of service requests or have not confirmed the pickup of a service request as well as clearing pickup exceptions.
- Entering service requests that are received via the dispatch email.
- Communicate with clients and sales (via phone and/or email) of rescheduled service requests.
- Updating Metric Solutions with equipment, mileage, driver and dispatcher notes, pickup hours etc.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of prior dispatch experience.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues and have the ability to organize, multitask and prioritize.
- Ability to communicate (written and oral) with a variety of individuals including drivers, clients, and other employees within Certified Enterprises and develop positive relationships.
- Ability to learn the Metric Solutions system as it relates to customer master data, learn how to clear dispatch issues, and update the schedule when needed.
- Knowledgeable in MS Outlook.
- Must be punctual and reliable. Strong organizational skills required including the ability to take direction and follow established processes.
- Must be able to work closely with the dispatcher to resolve client, sales, and driver issues.
- Must be bilingual (Spanish & English).

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
