Responsibilities:
- The associate buyer will perform purchasing responsibilities for a variety of materials, office supplies, furniture, and other materials, supplies, and services in accordance with company standards and policies
- The associate buyer will be in compliance with pertinent laws, regulations, codes, policies, and standards; and makes sure vendors meet quality, quantity, cost, and delivery needs.
- The associate buyer will checks and processes purchase requisitions; and review information to ensure it is complete, accurate, and that order parameters are clear and understood; secures proper signatures; and ensures the purchases are completed and maintained in an effective, current, and accurate manner.
- The associate buyer will determine whether products have been received, receives and reviews accompanying documents, and forwards invoice to Accounts Payable for payment processing.
- The associate buyer will research products and services, obtains accurate and complete price and delivery information
- The associate buyer will receives, respond to, investigate, and resolves customer, vendor, or other procurement-related inquiries
- The associate buyer will communicate purchase order procedures, changes, and directives to staff; interprets and explains applicable laws, regulations, codes, and policies; and enforces all processes and coordinates specific work tasks with staff as well as with other units in order to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of information.
Requirement:
- In-depth direct and indirect purchasing experience in the areas of raw materials, MRO, supplies, and services.
- Knowledge of SAP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to coordinate and communicate activities between internal departments as well as with external suppliers.
- Good organizational, planning, and decision-making skills.
