Child Care/Babysitter Responsibilities:
- Caring for children from newborn up to 18 years of age and providing daily oversight.
- Willing to travel by car or public transportation to various clients throughout the Portland area.
- Engaging kids with activities and/or programs approved by parents for their development.
- Providing an end-of-day report of activities, exercises, or programs provided for the child or children.
- Ensuring a safe environment and providing essential care (first aid, meals, housekeeping, diapering, toileting, bottle feeding, schoolwork, etc.).
- Possibly providing care to mildly ill children.
Child Care/Babysitter Requirements:
- Must have own vehicle.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in childcare, such as daycare establishments, babysitting, or after-school programs, OR
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in childcare and/or babysitting within your home with family or siblings.
- First aid and CPR certified or eligible to attain this certification before the first scheduled shift.
- Capable of providing written reports for children's daily activities to parents.
- At least 18 years old.
- Any educational experience and/or training in school, individualized nanny experience, summer camp, or pediatric program.
- High school diploma or GED.
