On top of that you must have:

a Bachelor's Degree in CAD/Engineering, Mechanical Design, or Engineering
-
6+ years’ experience in SolidWorks, CAD software Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Creative Suites working for a related industry, preferably print or retail.
In this position, you will:
-
collaborate with product development, prototyping, design and sales team to engineer creative and compelling solutions within project budget and timelines.
-
mentor and coach Design Engineers as needed on a project by project basis.
-
work with clients (outside client, sales, or PM) to understand project objective.
-
create detailed SolidWorks (SW) models, drawings, and BOMs to use for prototyping and production of parts.
-
create PDF drawings and compatible files for production on CNC machine (if applicable.)
-
be responsible for accurate documentation and revision control of all drawings and models.
-
be a leader on the team in utilizing our EPDM file database and part numbering system.
-
build models, specifically plastic parts, utilizing the SOPs provided by the TBG Fabrication team.
-
create Solidworks renderings from models utilizing Photoview 360 or similar software and present materials to the project team utilizing team inDesign templates for ultimate presentations with the clients.

create models and drawings based on parts which have already been produced or prototyped and participate in value engineering exercises.

work with fabrication, vendor partners or prototype teams to edit and revise parts for production.

exhibit a strong understanding of hardware library, material library and proper applications of hardware.

exhibit a strong understanding of material attributes and fabrication processes, finishes and finishing techniques.

perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks, as requested by Management.
