About the role:
As an International Operations Specialist at OpenRoad Global, you are a dynamic, enthusiastic operations professional experienced in processing global AIR and OCEAN EXPORT AND IMPORT shipments from initiation through final delivery. This role involves daily communication with clients, airlines, steamship lines, vendors, origin offices, truckers, warehouses, brokers, and all other concerned parties to expedite release and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and execute shipment instructions from agents and customers
- Obtain, create, and distribute all pertinent documentation (b/l, a/n, etc.)
- Reserve space and place booking with airlines, ocean carriers, co-loaders and approved truckers
- Comply with origin, destination, Customs, TSA, AES, and other requirements
- Negotiate rates, provide quotes, and maintain financial information for each file
- Work with Customs broker for clearance and to resolve exams, holds, etc.
- Track and trace shipment and flight/vessel status, provide updates, and advise delays
- Secure freight release prior to accruing storage charges
- Coordinate delivery of cargo to final destination
- Resolve problems and requests for information in a timely manner
- Billing, invoicing, and claims
Qualifications:
- Approximately 2-3 years of experience in air freight and ocean freight forwarding environment
- Knowledge of international air and ocean export/ import operations procedures
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, computer and communication skills

Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
