WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Beyond Care Program is seeking an Art Specialist who can deliver engaging and age-appropriate instruction for campers and students during the SY24-25 academic year. This individual will collaborate closely with the Programming Assistant Director and other staff members to ensure that the summer of 2024 and the upcoming school year are enriching and memorable for all participants. Prospective candidates should demonstrate leadership qualities, reliability, responsibility, and a strong team spirit. The Art Specialist will oversee the Arts Program, including planning activities, implementation, and safety management. Above all, you will create a supportive, safe, and enjoyable environment where children can thrive, learn, and have fun.
Responsibilities:
- Expert Instruction: Deliver expert-level instruction in your specialized area of expertise, whether it's visual arts, performing arts, STEM, academics, outdoor exploration, or a combination thereof.

Curriculum Development: Develop advanced curriculum materials and activities that challenge and inspire students, aligning with educational standards and program goals.

Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to campers and students, helping them develop their talents, critical thinking skills, and confidence.

Leadership: Lead and/or co-lead niche enrichment activities based on Beyond Care Program's cornerstones, demonstrating leadership and passion for your subject area.

Program Enhancement: Contribute to the enhancement of the Beyond Care Program by sharing innovative ideas, best practices, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.

Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of campers/students during all activities, following proper protocols and guidelines.

Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, including BC Interns, Program Directors, and fellow Teachers, to create a cohesive and effective learning environment.

Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends, research, and advancements in your field of expertise, continuously improving your teaching methods and approaches.

Community Engagement: Engage with parents/guardians and the community, showcasing students' achievements and fostering positive relationships.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or equivalent certification in your specialized field.

Demonstrated expertise and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an educational or camp setting.

Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring and inspiring students.

Passion for learning and a commitment to excellence in education.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.

Ability to work in person and commute daily to the designated Beyond Care Program locations.
Compensation and Work Hours:
After School Year 24-25 Details:
- Hourly Rate: $40 per hour

Work Hours: 3:15 PM to 6:15 PM
Camp Details:
- Hourly Rate: $50 per class period (1 hour)

Number of Class Periods: 4 daily

Work Hours: 9:15 AM to 3:15 PM
