Systems Safety Engineer: We are seeking a candidate with applied expertise in SAE ARP4754A and SAE ARP4761. This is a must have requirement!

We are seeking a flight Safety Engineer who can support the upgrade/modernizing of a GPS Infrastructure that is used by airlines, farmers, etc. We are a few years in a 20-year program that is being done in callaboration with our international partners. Work will be done hybrid: remote with 2-3 days onsite in Fairfax, VA .
This is a tremendous opportunity for someone who does not have a federal clearance to possibly obtain one and grow technically as well as professionally working in a fantastic, collaborative work culture!
Here is what we are looking for:
- Degree: BS in EE or similar required
- Clearance: Program can take Uncleared, must they be able to obtain clearance U.S. Citizen
- Experience Level: 7-20 years of experience
Required:
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years (cumulative) of engineering experience working as a safety engineer within the aerospace, automotive, or related industries
- Demonstrated experience with SAE ARP4754A and SAE ARP4761 processes to include capturing system safety requirements and designing safety compliant systems
- Familiar with the application of systems engineering and software development processes to the design, development, integration, test, and verification of complex systems
- Capturing/Creating/Editing Requirements and Processes for safety systems within aircraft
Note: We realize most of these types of candidates do not live in the DC area as the companies they work for seem to be situated in Florida, Texas, California, Washington, etc. The Company does not offer re-location package, however depending on where you live, there may be some alternative methods on providing support if you are traveling in long distance for this role. This will be case by case decision.
Compensation: Base + 25% 401K + 25% IBA (Healthcare savings account)
For example: Employee with a base of 160K will earn 40K in 401K contributions and 40K in IBA. 160K + 80K = 240K (Total Comp)
