Our residential treatment facility is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Care Specialist to work with at-risk youth receiving treatment services for trauma. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing daily care and supervision to our residents, while working collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure the delivery of quality care. A Youth Care Specialist works closely with our youth ensuring our residents are safe and programming successfully within our facility. This position allows you to utilize your own creativeness to support our youth on a daily basis. The Specialist provides direct care, safety and security, and supervision of residents through positive role modeling. The Youth Care Specialist actively works to support the facility mission of providing an environment of safety so that the residents feel empowered to heal the wounds of the past and build a foundation of hope for the future.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Implement and follow through with treatment plans for residents.
- Provide daily care, supervision, and support to residents.
- Participate in therapeutic groups and activities.
- Maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
- Document and maintain accurate records of resident progress and behavior.

Available Shifts - We have available positions on third shift, which pay between $16 and $19 per hour, based on education and experience.

The Youth Care Specialist provides consistent professional direct care, supervision, and mentoring to our youth during classroom education, groups, recreation activities, hygiene, meals, and sleep. The Youth Care Specialist maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu (social environment) as well as supports the activities of daily living for our residents by providing structure, redirecting residents, and setting limits on whichever shift assigned. Occasionally, crisis intervention skills may be utilized. Our specialists actively engage youth in a teamwork-focused, trauma-informed care, and pro-social model designed to provide each resident with the necessary skills for a safe and productive life. Youth Care Specialists serve as positive role models and work as part of a team of educators, clinicians, and nurses to support each youth as he or she works to meet individual goals.
