Commercial Lines Training Specialist

Position snapshot:
As our training specialist, you'll create and run sessions that cover everything from our best practices, formalized Applied EPIC (AMS) workflows, and all necessary third-party software. You'll help develop both classroom and online courses, craft materials and even build tests to ensure everyone's catching on. Plus, you'll keep our training up-to-date and troubleshoot any tech issues that pop up along the way.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the insurance industry, including five in Property and Casualty as an Account Manager or Account Executive
- Minimum of 5 years experience with Applied EPIC; experience with EPIC Browser and CSR24 a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework a plus
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive and SharePoint; capability to teach these applications to all levels of personnel
- Producer's license required
- CISR, CIC or CPCU designation preferred, not required

What you’ll be doing:
- Conduct training sessions on agency best practices, Applied EPIC workflows, Microsoft Office, Adobe and other third-party software for existing personnel.
- Develop all necessary training materials for remote and in-person courses, including instructional content, handouts, evaluation forms, visual aids and videos.
- Review, evaluate and update training materials regularly in collaboration with Quality Assurance to ensure they meet the agency's developmental needs and stay current.
- Consult with management, supervisors and employees to understand training needs and keep informed of changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
- Implement tests and periodic check-ins to measure training progress and effectiveness.
- Assist with AMS software upgrades, migrations and testing procedures.
- Troubleshoot issues related to AMS and third-party software on user workstations.
- Arrange and set up physical spaces for training sessions, internally and externally.
- Travel to different agency office locations to facilitate training.
- Participate in continuing education through classes and seminars on agency management systems and relevant software.
