Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of our company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounts receivable processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, or other irregularities
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes
- Generate and send out invoices to customers
- Prepare and maintain various financial reports related to accounts receivable
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any outstanding issues
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status, outstanding balances, and payment arrangements
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns
Requirements:
- Previous experience in financial services or accounts receivable preferred
-Familiarity in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and GAAP principles
- Familiarity with governmental accounting is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Quicken) and MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Basic math skills for calculating payments, discounts, and interest rates
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
