Job Summary:
Responsible for the direct patient care and general oversight of nursing care with THIRA Health patients within various levels of care. Manage the non-prescribing medical/nursing team staff and oversee the general delivery of nursing medical care.

Job Duties:*
- Oversee all/perform initial new patient medical assessment, including but not limited to, reconcile medications, obtain medical/surgical history and most recent labs, confirm all patient allergies, and document all findings in patient chart
- Oversee process of all medication administration for patients including but not limited to: medication passes/preparation, adherence to medication regimen, facilitation of patient OTC/prescribed/self-administered medication, maintenance of medication storage, and ensure maintenance of required documentation; delegate as needed
- Coordinate care with clinical treatment team and assist in treatment plans for patients as necessary
- Serve as primary liaison between Nursing team/staff, prescribing, nutrition, and all other clinical disciplines to ensure consistent cohesive multidisciplinary functioning
- Provide oversight of all Nursing services of THIRA Health programming; ensure adequate and qualified nursing staff for clinical service/coverage needs
- Participate in all quality of care assessments and improvement initiatives and programs as it relates to nursing
- Support the development and implementation of medical policies and procedures in accordance with Joint Commission and other accreditation services
- Oversee and supervise non-prescribing medical/Nursing staff, assign special projects when necessary; delegate when appropriate
- Manage overall productivity of Nursing team operations; Manage and resolve all escalated Nursing issues
- Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, formal performance appraisals and disciplinary action/paperwork when relevant, with the assistance of HR when necessary
- Coach, mentor and develop staff; provide career development planning and opportunities to reinforce retention
- Process, document and approve/deny staff’s time off, ensure adequate coverage
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, psychology, public health or related field ; Master’s degree in related field highly preferred
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum one (1) year experience supervising and/or managing other staff required
- Minimum five (5+) years nursing experience required; prior mental or behavioral health nursing experience highly preferred
- Prior hospital, residential facility, or supportive living experience preferred
- Experience working in IPU, AFH, IOP and/or PHP program preferred
- Experience with Eating Disorder patients in those settings highly preferred
- Prior experience developing and implementing psychiatric policies, procedures and compliance preferred
