Department Summary:
The In-Home Services field professionals lead all field operations and thousands of technicians across nearly 100 facilities across the country. Devoted to building a collaborative and committed group of employees who manage inventory, fleet and performance - IHS is the driving force that connects our customers with the industry’s best products and services for DISH.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Training Managers plan, coordinate, and direct the training delivery for all In-Home Services customer-facing field employee onboarding, technical certifications, and career development programs. Training Managers are accountable for ensuring customer service results by producing properly trained field management and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:

Manages training staff in geographically dispersed locations

Conducts needs analysis studies and partners with managers and supervisors to determine training needs

Schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, courses designed to meet the needs of our business partners

Conducts weekly train-the-trainer sessions with our operations partners for any and all changes in products, procedures, or services

Trains assigned instructors and supervisory personnel in effective techniques for training, such as new employees’ orientation, on-the-job training, sales techniques, health and safety practices, leadership development, and adaptations to changes in policies, procedures, and technologies

Maintains records and evaluates statistical reports to determine the performance of instructors and effectiveness of curriculum and the learning retention of trainees

Evaluates statistical data and quality assurance inspections to assist our operational partners in improving their overall installation standards

Conducts proficiency examinations on all newly hired employees to ensure understanding of basic installation practices
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university strongly preferred; and 5 years related experience, including 2 years of supervisory/management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge base in advanced training methodologies, adult learning theory, and evaluation processes preferred

Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff

Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills

Flexible, innovative, and the ability to manage staff, responsibilities, and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and time-critical environment

Ability to travel as required and possession of a valid personal credit card for reimbursement purposes is necessary

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
