Responsible for monitoring new and changing statutes and regulations impacting Magellan operations. Manages regulatory licensing and renewals for Magellan affiliates and subsidiaries. Develops and maintains working knowledge of the laws/regulations that govern the business. Reviews information concerning new laws/regulations and changes in existing laws/regulations.

Prepares and renews regulatory business licenses for Magellan operations, including utilization review and third party administrator licenses for various affiliates and subsidiaries.

Researches and gathers new, modified or re-interpreted laws/regulations using Westlaw and other research tools and resources.

Responds to research requests from Compliance department.

Assists compliance personnel to develop and maintain relevant databases that summarize state laws and regulations impacting Magellan's operations.

Identifies, documents and distributes compliance best practices under the direction of the Corporate Compliance Officer.

Supports policy management and administration, including facilitating periodic reviews and managing policies within the policy management system.

Minimum of 3 years' paralegal experience required.
Understanding of state and federal legislative processes.
Knowledge of regulatory/statutory research and analysis.
Ability to coordinate a variety of tasks and assignments simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills.
