Position Description
Tutors or Individualized Learning Specialists (ILSs) work closely with a team of teachers to meet the needs of all students. ILSs are responsible for managing and guiding a class of students while they work collaboratively in age-appropriate centers/developmental play and for pulling small groups of students for additional academic support and interventions.
The ILSs teach during supplemental blocks and augment student learning in both reading and math. These minutes are additional extracurricular support for all students beyond the standard classroom time.
Tutors report to an Assistant Principal.
