We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Hotel Night Auditor to join our team. As the Hotel Night Auditor/Front Desk, you will be responsible for overseeing the hotel's financial and accounting operations during the overnight shift.
Your primary responsibilities will include verifying and balancing all guest transactions, managing the hotel's accounts receivable and accounts payable, and reconciling daily revenue reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial records, preparing financial reports, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
In addition to your financial responsibilities, you will also be the point of contact for any guests who may require assistance during the overnight shift. You will be responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel, addressing any guest inquiries or complaints, and ensuring that all guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. You should also be comfortable working with financial and accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word.

Responsibilities
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Skills
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
- Experience with hotel reservations software
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
- Customer service attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
