The CT/Radiological Technologist is responsible for the overall operation of the CT scanner including patient care while producing quality CT images and quality control. At times when not needed in CT, the CT/Radiological Technologist will work as a registered staff technologist in general radiology (mammography or bone density, if applicable). This position is also responsible for clinical instruction of radiography students completing rotations in the Radiology Department
Job Functions
- Moves throughout the facility, appropriately assists in emergency drills and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver services as assigned.
- Performs CT exams and radiologic exams under the direction of a physician and provides quality images.
- Works cooperatively with unit staff, physicians and ancillary departments.
- Performs all tasks and duties of this position according to hospital and department policy and procedure.

- Delivers service that builds customer satisfaction.
- Actively supports and encourages Primary Support Person (PSP) / Family involvement in patient's care, with consent of patient. Includes PSP / family member in explanations/discussions of testing,
procedures and discharge instructions when applicable.
Education and Experience
-
Completion of an Accredited Radiological Technology Program- Required.

1-3 Years Experience in Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) in a Healthcare/Medical Setting- Preferred.

A.R.R.T. Certification- Required.

O.D.H. Licensure- Required.

CT Certification- Preferred.
**Must be in good standing with the A.R.R.T.**
