**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Access Specialist II to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring a seamless patient registration process. The Patient Access Specialist II will oversee all operations of the patient access call center under the direction of the Clinical Operations Director.
**Duties:**
- Lead a team of Access specialists working out of our call center.
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Schedule patient appointments accurately
- Collect co-pays and payments
- Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes
- Must have an understanding of health insurance benefits and be able to explain benefit information to patients.
- Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries promptly
-Must possess excellent patient service skills and compassion in assisting patients with mental health challenges.
**Experience:**
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Experience with Icanotes EHR or similar electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of medical scheduling software/
- Strong administrative skills in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with mental health terminology (nice-to-have)
- Previous experience in a clinic or medical office setting
- Ability to manage medical records efficiently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google sheets.
