ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be required as requested by Management.
- Must have forklift experience
- Assist Warehouse Manager in coordinating the most efficient unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of quality
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Ensure all security policies and procedures are followed
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and conduct operations in accordance with OSHA Standards.
- Able to set priorities effectively
- Be fully flexible to work all days, all shifts.
- Must be flexible when asked to perform other job duties to include going out on jobs and assisting other members of the team, when needed.
- Must have a valid drivers license, Class C or CDL is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
- Ability to schedule own tasks and handle all facets of assigned projects independently and with minimal supervision. (Time management)
- Ability to perform in-depth problem solving. (Problem solving)
- Apply effective communication and motivational techniques in supervising and counseling subordinates. (Communication
- Familiarity with personal computers and materials handling equipment is essential. (Technical knowledge)
Physical Requirements/Expectations:
- Frequent walking
- Frequent standing
- Frequent closing of dock doors
- Frequent pulling of dock plates
- Occasional lifting/pushing/dragging of product
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
