Outdoor Living Sales Professional

MISSION
The Groff Outdoor Living Sales Professional is an experienced salesperson with documented sales experience and proven success. This person should have a distinct ability and passion to understand clients’ needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs while keeping a client centric focus. This person spends most of their time meeting with pre-vetted clients to develop relationships and helping clients to realize their potential for better outdoor living while maintaining focus on what is most important to the client and their family. They will also be responsible for contract administration including, but not limited to owning the client relationship throughout the sales process, estimating, contract execution, billing, change orders, seamless handoff to operations, and continual education.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop relationships with existing and potential clients to develop sales leads. Pre-vetted leads are provided.
2. Meet and conduct initial in-person interviews with prospective clients by following the Integrity Selling Methodology and establish budget/investment levels for the client.
3. Maintain relationships with previous clients by means of phone/text and email communication at specified intervals as set forth by Sales Manager.
4. Perform a detailed site analysis for prospective jobs including site measurements and securing the plat for the clients.
5. Work independently and collaboratively with Landscape Designer to create outdoor living spaces that fulfill client goals and objectives.
6. Ensure all job notes are accurately prepared in the proposal.
7. Create preliminary budgetary estimates in collaboration with Landscape Designer for review by Sales Manager.
8. Prepare and perform handoff meetings with the operations team for each project.
9. Perform a post project meeting to understand how the Groff team performed and to learn how Groff can create a better client experience.
10. Perform and manage warranty issues by way of the Groff warranty process.
11. Participate in weekly Sales and Production meetings.
12. Utilize HubSpot software to log all activity with prospects and clients following company protocol.
13. Use Groff process forms to ensure no steps are missed.
14. Maintain the 10/5 communication rule set by Groff, at a minimum.

DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
1. Must excel in integrity sales (training will be provided).
2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
3. Must understand local municipal codes (training will be provided).
4. Must have a valid driver’s license insurable by company agent.
5. A minimum of three years of experience in sales with proven ability to meet sales goals and objectives.
6. Knowledge of plants, hardscape materials, drainage, irrigation, and architectural features for outdoor living is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
7. Utilizing computer aided design for landscaping is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
8. Must be able to operate mobile devices.
9. Must possess excellent mathematical abilities.
10. Candidate must be able to read and write English legibly.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND HOUR EXPECTATIONS
1. This position can be performed at our Arlington office and from home. We would prefer this position to offer you flexibility, under the condition that you consistently maintain a high level of professionalism and a self-starter mentality.
2. Expect on average a 50-hour work week during peak seasons but ultimately you can make your own hours if work gets completed on time, goals and numbers are reached, and extraordinary communication and continual improvement is achieved.
3. Uniform: We do have company uniforms for all team members. We want you to wear what makes you feel comfortable while appearing professional when in the office environment and/or with meeting with clients (both in-person or virtually). We will help customize uniforms to your style and comfortability upon request.
