Day to Day
The Brand Science, Insights, and Operations (BSIO) team investigates & measures how our brand influences Job Seekers and Employers alike, striving to help link all people to better work to create better lives.
As the Senior Brand Research Manager, you'll drive full-cycle research from insight to campaign evaluation.
You'll identify knowledge gaps, extract insights, and translate findings into actionable strategies with senior marketing partners.
This role is highly cross-functional, collaborating with a variety of teams across Indeed, including Brand Strategy, Product Marketing, UX Research, and Voice of the Customer, to track progress against our key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Advocate for the job seeker and employer audiences, developing action plans to socialize and disseminate insights.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Diagnose and interpret stakeholders' business challenges, recommending appropriate research methodologies to support their goals.
- Nurture relationships with diverse stakeholder teams to stay attuned to the business and anticipate their need for insights.
- Drive a holistic insights agenda by capturing and organizing research priorities into a strategic roadmap. Conduct planning sessions with teams across the organization to grasp research priorities and formulate a 4-6 month roadmap.
- Stay on top of emerging technologies and methodologies in the research space, providing recommendations for innovative approaches to uncover consumer insights. Oversee relationships with third-party research partners, ensuring effective partnership and delivery of insights.
- Give clear and proactive communication with both internal research stakeholders and a large variety of additional secondary stakeholders to ensure research is designed to meet business needs and that insights are widely shared and understood.
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for effective communication. Design and create clear, compelling, and actionable research reports. Coach agencies to elevate insights and effectively communicate them.
Skills/Competencies
- 6+ years of experience working with both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Proficient in designing and leading primary research studies utilizing various methodologies including online quantitative surveys, focus groups, ethnographies, online qual, and mobile studies.
- Demonstrated experience translating complex data into clear, compelling narratives – both written and visual – with distinct recommendations. Coach vendors to meet Indeed’s standards for analysis and storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to influence marketing strategies through both proactive research recommendations and insightful data analysis.
- Strategic and insightful thinking skills with the ability to break down complex problems and drive effective solutions.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with exceptional social skills and a natural curiosity. Passionate about creating a consumer-centric culture by integrating consumer insights into all aspects of the business.
- Experience working collaboratively with various internal stakeholders and external partners, including agencies and suppliers. Comfortable with proactively building and maintaining relationships across teams, business units, and time zones. Ability to build rapport and trust in a heavily-virtual work environment.
- Ability to manage many projects/studies concurrently across teams. Experienced in managing budgets, forecasting research needs, and estimating associated costs. Proven ability to work autonomously, set and meet project management milestones, and oversee vendors.
- Experience creating surveys using Qualtrics and examining data through crosstabs. Proficient in working within the Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Drive), Slack, and Zoom.
Salary Range Transparency
US Remote 104,000 - 140,000 USD per year
SF Bay 120,000-165,000 USD per year

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
