Responsibilities
Events & Catering
● Determining client and event requirements to prepare a bespoke proposal
● Maintaining outstanding relationships with each client and ensuring great customerservice before, during and after the event
● Planning menus and overseeing venue, equipment, food, and service preparations
● Communicating daily needs with kitchen team and brainstorming menus
● Recognizing opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancementsto create outstanding events
● Participating in site inspections and making presence on events
● Negotiating prices and nurturing relationships with vendors
● Training and supervising catering staff, as well as providing guidance to scheduling theright staff for each event
● Monitoring the availability of catering stocks and supplies and ordering replenishment
● Tracking catering expenses and maintaining accurate budgets
● Keeping track of invoicing with accounting and following up on pending payments
● Adhering to food and health industry regulations and standards
● Identifying operational challenges and developing alternative solutions
● Outreaching to new potential clients
● Integrating current trends in event management and event design
● Researching food & beverage trends and keeping up with innovations in the eventsindustry
Marketing
Overseeing the marketing assistant on:
● Developing partnerships to grow brand recognition on the market
● Creating mood boards for events & supporting marketing documents
● Generating weekly newsletters
● Curating the social media calendar
● Maintaining brand DNA across all platforms, managing online reputationand answering comments
● Producing seasonal photoshoots and lookbook creation
Qualifications
Full-time position | Position reports directly to the Director of Operations
● Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
● Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, event management, or marketing preferred
● Experience in the F&B industry
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● French a plus
● Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at the same time
● Active problem solver, comfortable under pressure
● Attention to detail, team player, eager to contribute new ideas, self-starter with a can-do attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
