The Human Trafficking Advocate will provide support, counseling, and intensive case management to human trafficking survivors who are enrolled in The Shelters long term therapeutic program. In addition, the Human Trafficking Advocate will provide support to survivors who are in the court system, jail, or part of an active investigation. They will provide information regarding the criminal and civil judicial systems. They will also appear in court and advocate on behalf of the survivor with representatives of law enforcement, prosecution, and court, and will assist with arrangements for additional legal and wrap around services.
