POSITION SUMMARY:
Protochips is looking for an Events Coordinator to serve as an independent contractor. This position will lead events planning from start to finish. You should possess excellent project management skills and have good marketing and communications experience. A top-notch trade show coordinator has the versatility to organize shows for many different industries and the ability to problem-solve under pressure.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborating with the marketing team and organizers to define the strategy and event requirements
· Manage events from planning to execution thru teardown and show metrics
· Keep on top of deadlines for booth reservations, shipping, registration, hotels, etc.
· Communicate deadlines to internal team
· Communicate with show vendors on site specific needs/issues
· Manage event “extras” – talks, after hours events, etc.
· Manage orders of booth necessities – furniture, carpet, electric, lead retrieval, etc.
· Own logistics for material shipped to show and back
· Work with 3rd party vendors as needed for Build and burns, booth setup, etc
· Arranging travel and accommodation logistics, administration, and bookings
· Preparing, presenting, and managing budgets and negotiating contracts
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a trade show coordinator or similar.
· Excellent financial management abilities
· Strong organizational and time management abilities
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
