Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and commercial maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems within a facility.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the building's systems to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Perform electrical repairs and maintenance, including working with ohmmeters, logic controllers, and voltmeters.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Fabricate parts or components when necessary to ensure proper functioning of systems.
- Oversee HVAC systems and perform maintenance tasks to optimize efficiency.
- Manage facilities maintenance, ensuring a safe and functional environment for occupants.
Experience:
- Proven experience in electrical and commercial maintenance.
- Proficiency in using ohmmeters, logic controllers, and voltmeters for diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to address various equipment issues effectively.
- Ability to fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs.
- Experience with HVAC systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Previous involvement in facilities management is a plus.
- Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing skill sets. Trade license a plus. Supervisory and CMMS experience preferred. Ability to lead and train others. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints and schematics. Universal refrigerant EPA certification.
Describe a Typical Week in This Role
Performs planned maintenance, repairs, modifications and general facility maintenance tasks in the areas of painting, patching, fixtures, caulking, carpentry, etc. Completes major repairs and in-depth planned maintenance in primary areas of responsibility as well as other maintenance services that may be assigned. Serves as supervisor and primary technical resource to other building technicians. Monitors, check and evaluates the completion of major repairs and in-depth planned maintenance in the primary areas of facilities operations including maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical or other facility maintenance services. Works on and completes all facility team-based goals. Identifies opportunities for process/system improvements and implements them as approved.
